As we are preparing to do a stock take, please encourage students in Years 9 and 10 to check their bedrooms carefully for ACS library books that they are not actively engaging with and return them to school.
At last week’s Senior Prizegiving we thanked retiring staff members, Heather Mathieson-Salton and Sharon Bailey. Both have worked at ACS for a number of years, Heather in the office and Sharon as a teacher. We thank them for their service.
Please pray that God would continue to bless our school with the provision of faith-filled staff.

Choir, please work hard on the following songs. Remember breathing, word endings and using stomach muscles to support your singing, especially on the high notes.
Its loads of fun taking you and it’s a great hearing you make a joyful noise unto the Lord
Work hard and we’ll perform well.
Primary Choir Performance – Kmart Christmas Tree Lighting
We are excited to share that our Primary Choir has been invited to sing at the lighting of the Kmart Christmas tree on Wednesday, November 19th at 10:00am. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to be part of a special community event.
Students will be transported to and from the venue by the school. The choir will perform 2–3 songs from their current repertoire during the celebration.
Thank you for supporting our choir as they represent our school at this festive occasion!
Year 11 to 13 students will be on examination leave from Monday 3 November.
During this time students are permitted to study at home.
On days when they have an examinations students are expected to:
- arrive at school 30 minutes before the examination starting time.
- wear school uniform
- bring all equipment needed for their examinations. All stationery items must be in a clear plastic bag, not a pencil case. Water bottles are permitted, but must be transparent and not labelled.
On days when they do not have examinations, students are permitted to come to school to study, complete internal standard resubmissions and meet with teachers for examination assistance.
It is recommended that students email their teachers to confirm availability as Year 7 - 10 classes are still running.
Students not attending examinations do not need to wear school uniform.
All senior students must sign in and out of school.
The lost property bin is very full, so please check it if your child has lost anything. It’s located behind the back door of the admin building, and you’re welcome to check it at any time.
